Directions

M74 leave at junction 14.(10 mins. away). Take the B702 for half mile. At Elvanfoot turn right B7040 to Leadhills and Wanlockhead.(the road goes through the hills) At T junction turn left onto B797 and follow road through leadhills to Wanlockhead. (4 mins away).

Wanlockhead - At the sign for Lead Mining Museum turn right down into the village, passing the Museum on right, up hill and sharpright horseshoe bend onto Goldscaur Road. Long Row (gravel road) is first turning right. Goldpan cottage is the last cottage on the straight and has a rustic seat outside. The cottage name is on the wall.
